WEEKLY BULLETIN
Message from the Headteacher
Welcome back after the Easter break. I hope you all managed to have a restful time, get outdoors and make memories with your families.
It has been wonderful to hear the reports of how successful the Spain trip went. Staff and students seem to have had a fantastic time. Thank you to those staff who facilitated this trip and spent some of their own Easter break supporting this student experience.
As you are aware, our recent Ofsted report was published this week. I am so proud that inspectors recognised what makes our school community so special, noting that “care, compassion and commitment are characteristic of pupils’ experience.” This reflects the values we strive to live out every day.
The report highlights the significant improvements made in teaching and the positive attitudes our pupils show towards their learning. These achievements are the result of sustained effort, determination and belief from staff, pupils and leaders over the last three years of my Headship. Together, we have worked hard to build a school that is ambitious for every child, inclusive in its approach and firmly focused on providing a high-quality, broad and balanced curriculum.
Inspectors acknowledged the strong culture we have established, one underpinned by clear expectations, inclusivity and a shared sense of purpose. They also recognised the wide range of opportunities available to our pupils, from enrichment activities and trips to community projects, all of which help develop confidence, character and aspiration.
This report belongs to our whole school community. I would like to thank our pupils for their enthusiasm and resilience, our staff for their unwavering commitment, and our families for their continued support. Together, we will build on this strong foundation and continue striving for excellence in all that we do.
Wishing you all a positive term ahead.
Mr Gill
