WEEKLY BULLETIN
Message from the Headteacher
As we move further into the term, I continue to be impressed by the positive attitude and commitment shown by our students.
This week, our Year 11 students benefited from a visit from Askham Bryan College, who spoke to them about the wide range of Post-16 opportunities available. Sessions like these are invaluable in helping students explore the different pathways open to them and make informed decisions about their future education and careers.
Students across the school also attended assemblies delivered by Andy Hadfield from Inner Spark. Andy shared his inspiring personal journey, drawing on his experiences from a long and successful career in the Army and leadership consultancy. His message focused on ambition, resilience, overcoming challenges, maintaining a positive mindset and treating others with respect. Students were encouraged to think about their aspirations for the future and the importance of perseverance when working towards their goals. The assemblies provided a powerful reminder that success often comes from embracing opportunities and learning from setbacks along the way.
I would also like to remind Year 7 families about our Year 7 Settling Evening, which will take place on 21 October from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. The evening provides an opportunity for parents and carers to meet with staff, discuss how students have settled into secondary school and celebrate the positive start they have made at Harrogate High School. We look forward to welcoming you.
Thank you to our families for your continued support. The strong partnership between home and school is invaluable in helping our students thrive, and we greatly appreciate your encouragement and engagement.
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend.
