Message from the Headteacher

It has been a busy week at school, particularly for our Year 11 Art and Spanish students who have started their GCSE exams and our Year 10 students who have been out on their work experience placements.

We hope the they have found the experience enjoyable and insightful. We’re looking forward to welcoming them back next Tuesday and hearing all about the skills they have learnt and the new experiences they've had.

We have been delighted to receive positive feedback from a variety of employers such as the quote below.

"It has been wonderful to have your student in our school this week for her work experience.  She has been outstanding in her contribution to our school this week - polite, professional, has built great relationships with staff and children and we will really miss her next week!"

Thank you to the community group Renew HG1 who came into school yesterday to promote emotional and mental wellbeing.

What a wonderful week of sunshine it’s been! Let’s hope it continues into the bank holiday weekend so everyone can enjoy some time outdoors.

Mr Gill
Head of Academy
