Message from the Headteacher

I would like to thank parents and carers for supporting the "Strive for 5" initiative this week.

When students come to school prepared with the right equipment, they set themselves up for success. Being equipped for each lesson allows them to focus on learning, rather than what they are missing.

By providing students with the right tools and encouraging them to take pride in their work, we are laying the foundation for future success.

Striving for excellence isn't just about achieving high marks; it's about taking pride in the effort and quality of the work being done. Students who approach each lesson positively and their work with care not only improve their grades but also develop habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.

We appreciate the ongoing support from families and staff as we continue to work together to instill good habits so our students can thrive.

This week a group of year 7 students went on a history trip to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. Thank you to Mr Pedro for organising this and to the staff who accompanied them. As you will see from the photos, it looks like they all had a fantastic day and really enjoyed the hands-on workshop!

Storm Eowyn has made its presence felt today. The Met Office has upgraded its yellow weather warning for wind to a more severe amber warning locally and it is in place until 9pm today.

As we wait for the storm to pass, take care of yourselves.

Mr Gill Head of Academy.
